What is Obesity?

There are two important terms when specifying if the person's weight is in the range of normal. The first one is BMI, second and more important is body fat ratio in the body.

When the BMI* is over %24, it is referred overweight, if its percentage is over %30, it is referred obesity. But in some cases, although the BMI is over % 30, it is possible that the body is having normal balance. For example, since the water will be kept excessively in the people who engaged in sports heavily, BMI can exceed over %24. In contrast, such people's body fat is completely within normal limits. Likewise, due to excess of body fat mass, it is possible to speak of abnormal balance although BMI less than %24.

In summary, obesity means excess accumulation of fat in the body.


How does Acupuncture Make Easier to Lose Weight?

There are nearly 200 points in ear which are used in Ear Acupuncture Method. With these points that we can consider as a voice note and keys of a computer keyboard, hundreds of disorders can be treated.

A person gaining more weight or having a body weight of more than usual, is not only associated with food intake more than you need. It is possible for two people to have different weights even if they take the same calories. Many hormones are involved directly or indirectly in this case. *BMI= Body Mass Index
Body weight is taken as kilograms and is found by dividing the size of the body surface in m2. Instead of body surface, it can be also easily calculated by taking meters squared of weight. For example, height of a person is 165 cm and weight 60 kg. BMI= Body Mass/ height m2=60/1.65x1.65=60/2.7=22.2. BMI of this person is nearly 22.2.

**Stress causes appetizing and gain weight by increasing the amount of corticosteroids which are produced in the body.
